HomeGuard is an annual inspection and maintenance plan for homeowners who would rather have a professional own the worry than climb the ladder themselves. Instead of calling us once when something goes wrong, your home gets professional attention twice a year, before problems get expensive.
The plan is built around a simple truth we see on site every week: moisture ingress is the root cause of most building deterioration. Caught early, it is a small repair. Caught late, it is a flooded ceiling, a mould problem and a pest infestation.
What does HomeGuard include?
Two seasonal inspections every year
Spring inspection (September/October): roof, gutters, flashing, exterior walls, drainage and subfloor ventilation checked before the summer rains, with a written moisture report.
Autumn inspection (March/April): the same thorough sweep before winter, when condensation, rising damp and hidden mould do their quiet damage.

What does it cost?
Two options, same benefits:
HomeGuard Monthly: R299 per month. Cancel any time.
HomeGuard Annual: R2 990 per year (two months free versus monthly billing). Transfers with the property if you sell, a useful handover gift to a buyer.
Here is the honest maths. Two seasonal inspections on their own are worth R3 300 at our standard inspection rate of R1 650 per hour. Add the standing discounts and priority access, and the plan costs about what a single hour of emergency remediation does, spread over twelve months.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a contract that locks me in?
Monthly plans cancel any time, no notice period. Annual plans are prepaid for the year, but they transfer with the property, so the value does not evaporate if you sell.
What happens if you find a problem during an inspection?
You will get it explained in your written report, plus a member-priced quote for the fix. There is no obligation to proceed, but most members want small issues handled before they grow.
How long does the inspection take?
A standard residential inspection takes about an hour on site, covering roof, walls, drainage, subfloor and interior moisture hot spots.
Is the discount really worth it?
On a typical R15 000 remediation, the 10% member discount is R1 500 back in your pocket. Combined with the two included inspections, most members are ahead from their first year.
Can I use pest control services through the plan too?
Yes. Moisture problems and pest infestations go hand in hand, and the member discount covers pest control management as well.
